Performance Group Combines Art With Technology in Digital Age
Quixotic. It means "controlled chaos". For a performance company that combines graphic design, music, dance and projections, this just about sums it up. Anthony Magliano created Quixotic almost six years ago, and it has been a wild ride ever since.
With appearances at music festivals such as Electric Forest and Wanderlust and performing in this year's TED conference, Quixotic's chaotic performances are making waves nationwide. So it only made sense that Magliano would be asked to assist with the Mayors' Bistate Innovation Team, leading the digital arts subcommittee.
As proof of the collaborative efforts between the art world and the tech world, Magliano's company exemplifies the bright future in store for the Kansas City art community as Google Fiber makes its way into homes all over the area, expanding bandwidth and possibilities.
