Mayors’ Bistate Innovations Team begins work on playbook

Last fall, Mayors Joe Reardon and Sly James appointed the Mayors’ Bistate Innovations Team to develop a playbook for how we can use the new Google Fiber network to benefit the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The team has been meeting regularly and gathering input from the community. The playbook will focus on seven “chapters:”
-          An Engaged, Supportive Public
-          Entrepreneurial Assets
-          External Demand
-          Conducive Policy Environment
-          Multi-Level Networks
-          Capable and Available Technology Workforce
-          Coordinated and Sustained Leadership
In addition, the team has divided itself into several key sectors, to look at how ultra high-speed fiber could be used in health care, education, entrepreneurship, neighborhoods and arts and culture.

Community input is welcome. Please post your comments here or email info@googleconnectskc.com.
