Google Looking for a Few Good Photos

Google will be featuring family photographs and videos of Kansas City throughout history as part of their upcoming commercial campaign. If you have images and footage from the 1900s to today that tell the story of your family’s experience in Kansas City, let Google know. They are looking for:

Old B&W photos of early Kansas City (with or without people)

Old family heritage images: settlers, homesteads, farms, dirt roads, downtown, historic buildings

KC Jazz bands playing in the 1930s and 1940s

KC suburbs in the 1950s and 1960s

People around Union Station, old and new

Students on the UMKC, Rockhurst and KU campuses

KC nightlight

Fountains and statues: if you have a series in front of the same landmark over time, that would be ideal

And present day photos in homes, at events, around landmarks, etc.

Drop off your submissions to T2 no later than April 18, 2012. For more info, go to http://www.t2.tv/kcphotos/
