Crowdsource Accessibility using WheelMap
There are many people with disabilities living in Kansas City - and yet, many are not able to enter or even utilize some buildings due to the fact that they are not accessible.
To solve this problem, we should crowdsource accessibility utilizing Wheelmap.org in our city. Wheelmap allows anyone to rate a location based on its accessibility - red for none, yellow for partial, and green for fully accessible. This would not only allow people with disabilities to view the places in our city based on accessibility, but it would also in turn let business owners know if they are or not - also motivating them to become more accessible due to public ratings.
