WordCamp Kansas City
The Second Annual WordCamp Kansas City will be held June 1-3 at OfficePort in the Crossroads District. Sponsored by Luminopolis, Haden Interactive and Pippins Plugins, the conference will focus on designers, developers, publishers and organizations using WordPress.
WordCamp is a way for people using WordPress to network, to increase their skills, and to learn new ways to use WordPress. Among the speakers at this year’s WordCamp are digital publisher Jonathan Wondrusch and WordPress Core Developer Samuel Wood. Akram Taghavi-Burris will discuss how WordPress can be used in education, and Justin Kopepasah will discuss responsive design, while a slate of other experts will look at a range of topics on design, development, and success with WordPress.
WordCamp KC 2012 begins on Friday at 5 p.m. with registration, a charity Hackathon to benefit a local 501(c)3, and participation in the First Friday festivities of the Crossroads District. Sessions begin on Saturday at 8 a.m., ending at 5 p.m. with an after party to follow. There will be further sessions on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon.
