TED Heads, mark your calendars for Aug. 28 for the next TEDxKC conference.
The theme for this year's TEDxKC event is "The Long View" - intractable problems requiring generational resolve (to solve). Speakers tackle political and social gridlock and short-term thinking as the enemy of action and real problem solving. It's also about taking a long view of our own personal existence and happiness.
For a full list of speakers, topics and performers visit TEDxKC on Facebook.
Tickets go on sale July 18 at 10 a.m. Visit kauffmancenter.org to purchase tickets.
Ticket holders are also invited to two exciting pre-events:
–TEDxKC at The Guild - a First Friday party on August 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Guild, KC's newest cool event space at 1621 Locust. Boulevard beer, and plenty of entertainment will be provided.
–TEDxKC at The Hotel Phillips - Saturday, August 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This party will feature a preview of the Amber Rubarth Trio, appetizers and refreshments.
